Decoupage : Renewal of a Clock

Hi Friends

As promised I have tried to do something different this time,Since my exam is coming up,I will be long gone ,at least craft-wise...

This Table-Clock was a gift from a Jewellery House, which had a Company Logo on it...So  I personalized it...

The easiest way to give it a new look was to decoupage it.

I might not have all the snaps of the whole process but I believe  that anybody can do it....

Here we go...

  • take care when you dismantle the clock in order to get the background decoupaged,as clocks can be very delicate objects...if you are sure you can fix it later ,then only try to take out the machine other wise seek help of the professionals...
  • Now ..I have used this beautiful Butterfly decoupage which you can download HERE (go trough the list)although you can choose any design you like.
  • Apply a suitable back ground color .Here I have given a multicolor effect ..Be creative..
  • I have used MODPODGE to fix the butterfly cut outs.
  • Add the hours symbols,
  • now fix the clock and its ready
Tips: whenever you are  prepared to cut out any patterns out of decoupage sheets ,don't  use normal paper cutter. instead used paper cutting knives.it adds a nice flaky look at the rims..which is easy to blend with the surface..

if you want a bubble free decoupage ,please damp the pattern a bit.

have a great time !!

Ps :  if you have any question ,feel free write in the comment section ,I will be happy to help you out
