CLAY RECIPE ( for modelling )

Thank you very much for your kind comments.Many of  you have wanted to know about how to prepare the clay for the modelling.

here you will see all the clay-works done by me.

its very easy and affordable. the supplies that you need are

1.China clay
its available in any craft store.its a fine clay ,slight off-white in colour.since its a processed clay,I dont know exactly how its made ,the degree of colour indicates the quality of the clay.so when ever you are out to buy china clay make sure its slightly red-ish in colour.

2.Fevicol SH

there is a basic difference between Favicol SH and Fevicol MR.SH is more sticky.

Mixing:
Pour  china clay  in a bowl.Measurement depends on the size of the project.Beginners should start with small amount.
take fevicol SH ,1/3 of the clay that has been poured.
now mix it well with the fingers...it will become sticky.

then mix water,bit by bit, to give its dough like consistency.

done!!


presevation:
this mixture can be kept as many days as you like provided its meticulously wrapped in plastic,and refrigerated.other wise it will dry up and become so hard that,it will become useless.when ever you work with that dough make sure you wrap it up after each use.
