dear all

life is not fair with me lately. going through a family crisis. mom has not been well. now all responsibilities rests on me. feeling lost and sad. but i guess its part of life and soon i may see life through a different light. praying everyday. 

thanks for sticking up with me in evry situation. in this trying time my bff crafts gave me much solace. heavier projects and painting may wait. simple beading was something i was keeping myself busy with. bear with me.

its Bengali new year 1422!

dear all

on 15th we celebrated Bengali new year in a very homely environment.its such a welcome break after a busy month,it was the main reason for which I was out my blogger.

today I want to share my first professional photo shoot of my hand-made wonder!

on this Dewali I have bought few books on painting online....

this is one of those

first two books were delivered timely,and the last one is worth waiting for!

first book has lots of breath taking animal pictures -truly inspiring.Author has given a long introduction on ""How-to-prepare yourself -for the -painting""...personally I think that was too elaborately done.

at the end of the book step by step projects are included..overall I will give id 4.5 out of 5


on the second purchase ,I must tell,it has shown some basic techniques of acrylic landscape paintings..tats all, at the end of the book there is a full step by step included


Rod Lawrence Is the GURU for me ..I am yet to get this book...waiting .till I get this book ,you can go and check the Google books preview,, its awesome!

Durga Puja- A blast of creative Inspirations!

Dear All

I am back with some of the snaps of Durga Puja ( biggest festival in Eastern-part !!),and this was the reason I was off from blogging !

Durga Puja is all about winning of the positive energy over the evil !

Here in the eastern part we get see a lot of original-
and one of a kind  themes by which Pandals are decorated!

Its so sad that within four days of Puja no one can cover all the pandals!

During these four days our city becomes the inspiration-hub for all the craft enthusiasts!People just soak in the light of creativity and fun !

Among the all,I have choosen to feature a simple yet very skillfully decorated Pandal which incorporated
PAKISTANI TRUCK ART!

KOLKATA: The Indo-Pak relationship is set for a new boost. Three Pakistani artists will decorate the Hatibagan Nabinpalli pandal with their unique 'truck art' this Puja. The trio - Haidar Ali, Mumtaz Ahmed and Md Iqbal - will reach Kolkata by the end of this week.
Though Haidar - the lead artist in the team - has come to India a couple of times before, he has never been to Kolkata. Speaking to TOI over phone, this internationally-acclaimed artist said, "I have never been to Kolkata, but I know about Durga Puja. I have seen it on the television. It's a huge festival and I am happy that I will be a part of it this year. I hope that the people of Kolkata will love this work of art".

 This Nabin Palli is situated at the Northern Part of the city....

The bottom line is ,those 3 artists completed this entire project within 27 days!!I am a big fan of decorative paintings,so it was a feast to the soul...
