ganesh mural inspired

another bottle!

dear all

cant believe the year has come to its end so soon

i took a simple resolution last years ,that was noting but to craft more and more ,,i think ,i have maintained my resolution and i wish to continue the same throughout the next year..no more resolution attacks!
at least this year i have crated more posts than i could do in the last year !yay!!
the only regret is ,often when we evaluate our whole year ,we often see it on negative light..we should create a piggy bank of good experience ,at the end of the year we should break open that piggy bank to see how many good experience we have collected!

we should also try not to live a year at a time ,we should fix a goal and each year should help us to reach to that goal -see the big picture first!

my villa

  hi
As I was telling in my last post,if a bottle is not altered in-to a house ,then its wasted!!and I find much pleasure when making complicated and challenging project like this...since this was my first try ,I am not fully satisfied( may be that's the problem with me..am not satisfied easily) hence I am looking forward to have another project like this...I must mention that ,this was inspired by a Mediterranean villa..those villas are so colorful and cheerful ,that I wish I could own one..

here I live in an old city with lots of old British architectural examples, hope to integrate those flavors in my future works..

now for few days I will be working on my painting and drawing skills, its been neglected for a long time..see you next month

till then Ba-bye!

Altering bottles have been a grate fun ,but not making a home out of bottle is an injustice!!

bottle art

Dear All!
Finally the summer is here ! This is sometime unbearable but that's the way the summer is ...

here I am back with my another creation..this is my first art bottle and a recycled bottle lampshade !

I hope you remember this shade form my earlier entries!

lets see some more snaps...

I must say ,making a recycled bottle art can be very addictive!

sorry that I cant post detailed picture due to poor camera condition ..I plan to   describe the process briefly so that you can understand !

there are lots of tutorials on how to make bottle art!

first of all I got an old ketchup bottle ,since its my first art bottle project ,I didn't want to mess up with my more beautiful bottles!

at the lower portion of the bottle I just did some mosaic work with glass pebbles and embroidery mirrors. mirrors were colored beforehand with the glass colour.

for the upper section of the bottle I made some home made texture paste (with talc, white paint and white glue) and applied with a spatula to get some weird free hand  texture, I kept it simple.

since the texture paste had glue in to it ,I sticked some old washers and beads to make the texture more weird!

then it was time to color it up,I colored the textured part black

since I had no metallic colour ,I used the metallic glass liner (copper) ,I dabbed it all over the textured  ..it gave a nice antique look!

last but not the least ,the embellishments ....I love tasssles ,I made one and hanged it from the bottle's neck.I added up some old jewelry and a peace of fake crystal to it

and that's all I did to achieve this look .

I am not done yet ,this one bottle has got me going for more, in future I hope to design more bottles ,
till then bye bye!
